KODAK Capture Pro Software has a perpetual license and there is no click-charge. It is available in 7 different price groups ( A to G) according to the scanner. For each price group a 1 Year Software Update and Support Assurance (known as “Software Assurance”) is included in the price with the option to purchase a 3-Year contract at the time of purchase including the first mandatory year.
KODAK Capture Pro Software Assurance includes 2 services – updates and Software Support.
KODAK Capture Pro Update
KODAK Capture Pro Software will permit new Capture Pro versions, updates and patches to be installed if covered by a valid Software Assurance contract. Should this lapse the software will not allow any new version or updates to be installed.
Patch installs will be permitted only if the Capture Pro software installed is the latest update. For example if a previous update ie 1.2.x has been replaced by 1.3.x and 1.2.x is installed, patch installations will be prevented.
KODAK Capture Pro Support
KODAK Capture Pro Software includes e-mail and telephone support. On site support is not covered.
To order KODAK Capture Pro Software simply contact a Kodak Authorised Reseller and tell them which scanner you have. The software will automatically come with 1-Year Software Assurance which you can opt to upgrade to 3-Year at the time of purchase.
Purchasing Upgrades From
KODAK Capture Software 6.x to KODAK Capture Pro
Customers purchasing upgrades need to confirm the Capture Software Group being used to ensure the Capture Pro software upgrade is compatible with their current software. Customers will be required to run the Capture Pro Licence Utility to upgrade their Capture Software license key to be compatible with Capture Pro (The key will still work with Capture Software).
