PROFILE WIZARD Software allows users to create and manage device and DeviceLink profiles for three to seven-color devices. The software also includes comprehensive ICC profile editing capabilities, providing control over gradation, luminance/saturation, gray balance, black hue, white point, and color correction.

Selected features and benefits

  • Guided wizard: Easy-to-use, automated workflow simplifies the process of creating ICC profiles for three to seven-color capable devices
  • Sophisticated editing tools: A comprehensive set of ICC profile editing features allows you to interactively preview and edit destination and DeviceLink profiles in HLS, CMYK, and CIE L*a*b modes
  • Preserve black channel integrity: A special DeviceLink profile preserves black channel separation across the entire color space
  • Spot color matching: Accurately measure and calculate spot colors to simulate the source device
  • Support industry standards: Compliance with ICC version 4, IT8, ECI, CGATS, and the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM, as well as ROHS measurement devices
  • Maximize flexibility: Supports a large variety of spectrophotometers

Version 4.0

PROFILE WIZARD Color Management Software version 4.0 provides enhanced and expanded profile creation and editing capabilities. Based on a significantly improved color engine, version 4.0 features even greater accuracy in output and DeviceLink profile creation that rivals any current product offering in the market.

Feature

Benefit

Guided wizard

Easy-to-use automated workflow simplifies the process of creating profiles and enables you to create high-quality profiles with ease

Profile creation

Profile can be generated from standard IT8.x (IT8.7/2, IT8.7/1, Kodak, Fuji, Agfa, and IT8.7/3), ECI2002, and manyColors targets

ICC DeviceLink

Preserves black channel separation across the entire color space using any Color Management Module (CMM)

Gamut alert

Warns the user when colors are beyond the reproduction limits of the target device

Spot color matching

Measures and defines spot color/special colors in order to accurately simulate the source device, within the gamut limits of the output device. Includes PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM color libraries: PANTONE solid coated, PANTONE solid uncoated, and PANTONE solid matte libraries.

Fluorescent paper

When fluorescent paper is used, you can correct for optical brightness in one of two ways:

  1. Select automatic detection of fluorescence for automatic compensation
  2. Use a measurement device with a UV cut filter when measuring

Multiple target measurement

Averages between multiple samples (targets) from GRETAGMACBETH SPECTROSCAN spectrophotometers at different times to accommodate for press variations and help color accuracy. Patch sampling—averaged measurement of several points on the same sample—accommodates low-resolution devices such as wide-format printers.

Options

editingTools

Preview and edit destination and DeviceLink profiles in LCH, CMYK, and CIE L*a*b* modes. Adjust gradation, LC curves, gray balance, and white points.

manyColors

Creates profiles for manyColors (five, six, and seven-color) output devices
