Hybrid Newspaper Printing at Axel Springer AG

The Axel Springer newspaper printing plant in Ahrensburg, near Hamburg, Germany, is using the KODAK PROSPER S30 Imprinting System for hybrid newspaper printing applications. Inkjet imprinting enables personalized advertising and attractive raffles for readers in the newspapers. The PROSPER S30 System is mounted on one of Axel Springer's manroland COLORMAN offset presses to imprint variable components such as consecutive lottery numbers, variable QR codes, and changing artwork at full production speed.
