ROCHESTER, N.Y., Nov. 17—British Columbian commercial printer Glenmore Printing expands into new markets and brings in additional business while winning back earlier clients with its recent installation of the KODAK NEXPRESS M700 Digital Color Press.
Glenmore Printing has been offering short run color on its small offset presses for 27 years, but decided recently that this type of job no longer suits its presses. The company has found the M700 Press is opening doors for new digital as well as litho work, allowing Glenmore Printing to meet the needs of its customers on new levels.
“We’re able to keep up with the growth we’re achieving with the NEXPRESS M700 Press and remain competitive in the marketplace,” said Glenn Rowley, President, Glenmore Printing. “We’re producing offset class short run color with Kodak’s press and see it as an excellent springboard for future growth. We’ve found the press works great for our variable data jobs and we’re seeing high quality all around, from one color to four color jobs.”
The KODAK NEXPRESS M700 Digital Color Press appeals to print providers who want to profitably enter the digital printing business with short run color, web to print, and variable data capabilities. The four color press runs at 70 pages per minute for the full range of supported substrate types (coated, uncoated, synthetics, and selected offset paper) and weights (64 gsm-300 gsm). It produces output with excellent quality text and graphics, high density, a wide color gamut and high resolution (1200 dpi x 1200 dpi). Adding the KODAK NEXSTATION V Front End helps drive productivity, and enhances color and image quality on the press.
“Based on our prior experience with Kodak, we’re confident in the high level of service and benefits we will receive with this new equipment,” added Rowley. “With Kodak’s broad portfolio and extensive litho and digital experience, we feel they are well equipped to understand our business.”
Glenmore Printing is located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, and serves areas including Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, the Fraser Valley, and the entire lower Mainland. With 50 employees, Glenmore Printing produces everything from newsletters and product sheets to complex corporate brochures and annual reports.
