ROCHESTER, NY , September 07 - Continuing its quest to lead the marketplace in desktop scanning, Eastman Kodak Company today launched a new program designed to expand its reseller channel within the desktop scanner segment.

The KODAK Desktop Scanners Reseller Program enables resellers of desktop office equipment to offer their customers Kodak’s renowned image quality and reliability through its desktop family of scanners. The line features 10 desktop scanners, most of which were launched during the past year.

“InfoTrends/CAP Ventures research showed that desktop scanning played the largest role in fueling more than 50 percent growth within the document imaging scanner market,” said Sue Cardot, director marketing and channel, US&C. “This is no surprise to us. As companies, government agencies, and organizations of all sizes have increasingly sought affordable, efficient, and easy-to-use desktop scanners to help them digitize their business processes, Kodak has continuously launched new products to meet those needs. Now, we are focusing on growing our relationships with the channel that serves this growing segment and, in doing so, allow us to reach a broader end-user base.”

The desktop scanner portfolio ranges from the KODAK i30 Scanner through the KODAK i280 Scanner. This includes the KODAK i100 Series Scanners, which were rolled out in January, and the KODAK i55 and i65 Scanners, which were launched in May.

The KODAK Desktop Scanners Reseller Program seeks to strengthen the sales channel for these products by offering its participants a variety of incentives such as:
